- Prospective parents are warmly invited to visit us for a tour and Introductory Talk to see if Michael Mount Waldorf School is a good fit for your family. We hold Open Days on select Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings throughout the year, and private tours are available upon request.

The Process
- If a place is available, we will request specific reports and arrange an interview between the Class Teacher / Guardian, parent, and child. This provides us all with an opportunity to get to know each other better. We require that all families submit various financial documents. A TPN / ITC check will also be conducted.
- If no places are currently available, prospective parents will be notified and children’s names may be placed on the school’s waiting list, on request.
- Upon acceptance by the Class Teacher/ Guardian, and approval of the financial information, the Registrar will issue a registration pack containing the remaining details.
Age Requirements
- Baby Care
- The baby must have turned four months before being granted a space.
- Play Group
- The child must have turned two by 31 December of the year prior to enrolment.
- Nursery School
- The child must have turned four by 31 December of the year prior to enrolment.
- Class 1 to 4
- The child must have turned six by mid-October to enter Class 1 in mid-January of the following year.
- Relevant prior reports and assessments are required from Class 2 onwards.
- Class 5 to 10
- An academic assessment will be set up for the student.
- Acceptance is determined by the outcome of the academic assessment and the interview with the Class Teacher.
- Class 11 and 12 (matric)
- We do not encourage admittance of students late in the Class 11 year, and invariably do not accept new students into Class 12. Exceptions, such as moves from other Waldorf schools, are considered with care.
Exception: Play Group attendees who turn four (4) before March 31 of the year of enrolment may be considered for Nursery School, following a readiness assessment by the relevant teachers.
