Shelley is a South African and a Michael Mount alumna. She has lived in England, Qatar, the USA and currently lives in Australia. She is the award-winning author of 40 books that includes children’s fiction, young adult fiction and a range of non-fiction texts. Her latest book, published May 2016, is a biographical memoir called Whisperings in the Blood. Penguin calls it “An exquisite, compelling story of courage, destiny and the search for home.”
